Aromatherapy Properties: Refreshing and rejuvenating. Stimulating and balancing. Its aroma inspires and brings fresh energy; clears the mind. Popular skin care ingredient for oily, mature and inflamed skin (in moderation).
Suggested Use: Use a few drops in a diffuser to freshen the aroma climate of your home.

Add 5 drops of Aromaland's Firming or Goddess Blends (which contain May Chang) to 1oz. of unscented body care.

Add 2-3 drops to a bath, mixing the oil with Aromaland's Coconut Emulsifier or some Half & Half prior to blending it with the water (in order to prevent the oils from floating on the surface and because May Chang can irritate the skin undiluted).

Blends Well With: May Chang/Litsea cubeba blends well with a lot of different oils, "lifting" a blend to make it appear more energetic and lively. Lavender, Neroli, Ylang Ylang, Rose, Sandalwood, Frankincense, Geranium, Palmarosa, Vetiver, Fennel, Tea Tree, resinous Essential Oils and many others. At the same time it can "anchor" the citrus Essential Oils, which tend to be rather fleeting.
History: Widely used in the perfume and soap industry for its soft lemon-scented aroma. Long history in Chinese medicine, being a plant native to China. The fruits resemble little berries that grow on stems, just like pepper – it is not related to the pepper family, however, but belongs to the same family as the Bay Laurel tree, Rosewood and Cinnamon (Lauraceae).
Specific Safety Information: No known toxicity, non-irritating. Use in low concentration only in skin care since some individuals may react sensitive.
